Peter Edwards Celtic Roots
Peter Edwards (aka Peter Edward Firk), was blessed to be born and raised in the picturesque and magical countryside near the River Thames in southern England. His grandparents bakery in Pangbourne was only a few blocks from the famous Boathouse at which Jimmy Page invited the other members of Led Zeppelin to form that iconic band! Peter inherited his Celtic roots primarily from his mother Pamela, who was born Pamela Mary Brown in SouthEastern England near the ocean, and has Scottish ancestry primarily on her father’s side of the family. Peter and his mother are descendants of the Clan Lamont from the southwestern region of Scotland, close to Ireland. The clan’s ancient territory is Cowal, a rugged peninsula in Argyll and Bute.
Peter has always felt deeply connected to the land and music of England, Scotland, Ireland, and feels inspired to compose songs with Celtic Roots.
Here are some of Peter’s Celtic-style compositions and songs.
